Science first.Sources always.

Why this site exists, how we choose the research we show you, and what it can and can't tell you.

Most people have never heard of the enzyme behind their cartilage.

"Wear and tear" makes cartilage sound like a tyre tread: use it and it goes. The research tells a different story. Cartilage is broken down by enzymes, and the one that cuts its collagen scaffold fastest is MMP13.

MMP13 Cartilage Technology™ is a formulation technology built around that enzyme, developed in New Zealand. This site explains the science behind it, and shows the studies so you can judge them yourself.

Four rules for every study we show.

Peer-reviewed and indexed

Every study is a paper indexed on PubMed, linked by its PMID so you can read the abstract yourself.

Titles stay verbatim

We show each paper's own title exactly as published, next to our plain-English summary of what it found.

The model is always labelled

Human trial, human cells, animal or lab. Most MMP13 research is lab and animal work, and we say so.

No stretching

A finding about one extract in one trial is not a claim about any formula. Where something hasn't been tested, we say that too.

Education, not medical advice.

This site explains published research for general education. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and it doesn't replace advice from your doctor or physiotherapist.

Research in cells and animals does not always carry over to people. If your joints are sore, swollen or getting worse, talk to a health professional.

See for yourself.
